Thank God, for Today

Three things to be grateful today:
1. Delicious lunch and dinner.
2. My Amazon packets arrived safely.
3. I did shopping a little bit and got a super deal.

Thank you, God.

Thank God, You Never Let Me Down.

It will be a very short post.

Once I read about a saying:        "You'll get the kind of love you think you deserve."
And also another one:                  "Good things come to those who patient enough to wait."

Combine both and I feel really blessed. :D

Thank God, I Passed The Test!

If I haven't mentioned yet, that this semester - the third - was the worst so far, then I'll say it: it's the worst.

My laziness was on its peak and I daringly chose to follow the devil.

To be honest I began this third semester with a lot of joy and spirit (because last semester - the second - was quite a successful one). I borrowed many books from library to help me understand some particular subjects, which were so hard I almost always left the class with empty notebook. Yap. I didn't even understand what the Professor was talking about. I did review on subjects, reread the slides and made notes. I was THAT diligent.

Thank God, I Could Go Home Safe And Sound!

Well, I skipped more than a month of writings given some reasons and extreme mood-swings in these last several of months. But now I'm back! And nothing will matter, right? Hohohoho...

So, what I'm gonna write is something that happened like exactly a month ago, on a cold windy day of May 1st, 2014. I've tried to write this as soon as it happened but again, there're things I couldn't explain (say the last one with a husky and whispery voice!). Anyway, it'll be a really long story. Keep reading!

Here we go.

The story began with my huge undeniable desire to make a visit to an aquarium, including a short one day trip in a city I've never been in. Why aquarium? I don't know, I just really want to see some nature and fish and animals, not to mention, I actually really want to visit a zoo too. This weird feeling of "I must go there" were even bigger as I got some discount vouchers for an aquarium-visit.

So I made plans.

The nearest upcoming holiday was May 1st. Of course, some smart people will know why exactly May 1st is a holiday. But this dumb girl (a.k.a. me) didn't care about why people don't go to school or work on May 1st, all I see and care about was that it's a holiday! For the whole nation, for the whole word! And it's just several days away and it's probably the last holiday I could enjoy without being chased by those horrible deadlines.

Then I asked some friends in Lübeck and surroundings to come too and they responded very positively. There was a little debate on when we should be better going, May 1st or May 2nd. It was decided that we'll go on May 1st because the weather report said it'll warmer and sunnier (which was in fact NOT warm and sunny enough) and my short-patience didn't allow me to wait for another day.

Long story short, on an early morning of May 1st, the three of us rode the train from Lübeck to Stralsund, where Ozeaneum, let say, the biggest aquarium in the area, is. We're planning to meet the other six (who come from Wismar) on the entrance of Ozeaneum. Our plan for the day was masive and supposedly to be a real fun. Supposedly...

Thank God, The Bicycle Is Unlocked!

It's been months since the last time I wrote.... I honestly have expected, that this kind of absence would come once in a while. You know, because I can't write when I'm not feeling to write. I need the mood. So, as I've already said many times before, when there isn't new post for quite a time, it doesn't mean nothing good happen to me. Good things always happen and sometimes I choose to say a silent thank you in my heart, rather than write it on a blog. :)

So, what happened with my bicycle? Oh, I bought a bicycle, by the way. :P It's used but still works perfectly. And it's cheap, of course. Hahahaha :D

This following incident occured to me like a month ago.

It was the last weekend before the new semester began. It was Saturday and I had this urge to eat bubur kacang hijau (is it green beans porridge in english? Help!). I decided to go to the Asianmarkt and bought all the ingredients. FYI, the most compatible Asianmarkt I know in Lübeck is reached by about 20 minutes bus ride. So, although I have a bike, I chose to get on the bus, rather than to die from lacking of oxygen on a bike (2 years without a proper workout, I truly believe it is deadly to ride a bike that far).

So, I rode my bike to the nearest bus stop (I just bought a bike! Please excuse me for being tacky), locked it and waited for the bus. Then few minutes later I got on the bus, went to the Asianmarkt, got everything I need, paid for it, waited for the bus to go home, got on the bus again, and went home.

As I got off the bus and crossed the street, I took out my keys and started to unlock my bike.

It stucked.

Thank God, Just Thank You Very Much!

So, I just got a mega important email of the day. What I'm gonna tell you is something BIG, really big it's HUGE!

I'll tell you the complete story in a simplest way possible.

First, people may think as I can study overseas, that I'm from a very capable rich family. The fact is, I'm not. It's true and I'm not trying to be humble here. Nope.

My Mom works alone back in Indonesia. She's not a super business woman in a huge company. She's just a normal employee, gets on a public buses every morning to go to works. We don't have car and our house needs renovations. It's a miracle, when I and my sister got the chance to pursue our dream by getting an education overseas. But, because our fund is very limited, the lives we have here also not a glamour or a spendtrift one. We have to be able to manage our expense and take part-time jobs along side our studies.

Secondly, in the midst of pressure between new semester in University and the fact I need to find a part-time job to cover my life-expense, I was told about a chance to get a scholarship.

Thank God, The Class Was Canceled!

This happened last Monday.

Just like every Monday in my life, it was really hard for me to get up and go to the classes that day. Officially, I had about five classes and a presentation. The lecture begins at 8:15 every Monday. I've already woken up at 5:30, but I really couldn't leave the bed. So, I decided to skip the first lecture. Moreover, the professor provides all the slides and videos of his lectures online, so the students can study at home.

I went to the second and third class, in which I had a presentation. It was a subject, where we have to make modells and gather ideas, so it is interesting and rather fun. After three hours, I had an idea for my next project. And again, I had this urge to go home and start doing some sketch for my idea.

The next two classes begin for about thirty minutes later. The other students went to the cafetaria for some coffee or lunch. A huge dilema striked me: I really want to go home and develop my idea, but the next classes aren't something you should skip because, if I'm not mistaken, there would be some new information for our assignments and the professor doesn't put his materials on the internet (damn!).

Thank God, I Found My Student-ID Card!

This happened to me two days ago.

My last two classes were canceled and I got some free time in the afternoon. I've already had a good mood that day and with two canceled classes, it just really made my day even brighter. :D

Strangely, I had this urge to make a watercolor drawings. I just had so many ideas. So, after the class ended, I went to buy the watercolors in the city. As I waited for the bus at the busstop, I reached out my wallet and took out my student-ID card: The student-id card works as the bus ticket too. The rest of the time, I put my student-ID in my pocket. I thought it'll easier for me because I still need to take some buses that day.

Long story shorts, I have bought all things I need and headed to the nearest busstop to go home. I saw a bus coming and spontaniously I put my hand in my pocket, trying to take out the student-ID. Guess, what? It's not there!
