Thank God, I'm still alive!

Thank you God for every breath I'm allowed to take...
For my parents and sisters,
For family,
For my friends,
For my boyfriend,
For my collegues at work,
For my professor,
For my neighbor,
For the comfort,
and food,
and rest I could take,
For warmth,
For clothes,
For internet,
For the love I feel,
For every little thing that enable me to get up everyday and go to work.

Thank you for the safety.
Thank you for health.

Thank you for keeping me sane.

Thank God, for Today

Three things to be grateful today:
1. Delicious lunch and dinner.
2. My Amazon packets arrived safely.
3. I did shopping a little bit and got a super deal.

Thank you, God.

Thank God, I Could Go Home Safe And Sound!

Well, I skipped more than a month of writings given some reasons and extreme mood-swings in these last several of months. But now I'm back! And nothing will matter, right? Hohohoho...

So, what I'm gonna write is something that happened like exactly a month ago, on a cold windy day of May 1st, 2014. I've tried to write this as soon as it happened but again, there're things I couldn't explain (say the last one with a husky and whispery voice!). Anyway, it'll be a really long story. Keep reading!

Here we go.

The story began with my huge undeniable desire to make a visit to an aquarium, including a short one day trip in a city I've never been in. Why aquarium? I don't know, I just really want to see some nature and fish and animals, not to mention, I actually really want to visit a zoo too. This weird feeling of "I must go there" were even bigger as I got some discount vouchers for an aquarium-visit.

So I made plans.

The nearest upcoming holiday was May 1st. Of course, some smart people will know why exactly May 1st is a holiday. But this dumb girl (a.k.a. me) didn't care about why people don't go to school or work on May 1st, all I see and care about was that it's a holiday! For the whole nation, for the whole word! And it's just several days away and it's probably the last holiday I could enjoy without being chased by those horrible deadlines.

Then I asked some friends in Lübeck and surroundings to come too and they responded very positively. There was a little debate on when we should be better going, May 1st or May 2nd. It was decided that we'll go on May 1st because the weather report said it'll warmer and sunnier (which was in fact NOT warm and sunny enough) and my short-patience didn't allow me to wait for another day.

Long story short, on an early morning of May 1st, the three of us rode the train from Lübeck to Stralsund, where Ozeaneum, let say, the biggest aquarium in the area, is. We're planning to meet the other six (who come from Wismar) on the entrance of Ozeaneum. Our plan for the day was masive and supposedly to be a real fun. Supposedly...

Thank God, The Semester is Finally Over!

First of all, I'm sorry for the huge gap between this post and the last one. It's not because nothing happened (there's always tiny weeney miracle for everyone every day :D), but because I have something somewhere in between, called life and exams.

Yap, December is surely full of festive moods and celebration: Christmas and New Year. I spent both holidays in Berlin with friends, church friends and my sister. It was superb and nothing like I've experienced before: not to mention, the until-8-o'clock-new year's eve-party including that "I'm-a-loser" feeling I had while waiting for the subway on the way home. Anyway, it was fun, it was cool, it made me realize I'm 'almost' a full grown up now. ^^ Haha

So, after the hedonism lifestyle in Berlin, I'm back in Lübeck, alone and was welcomed by tons of deadlines and nearing exams. It's sooooo many, I really thought I couldn't make it in time. It's so frustrating. I lacked of sleep and only ate canned or instant food. There were even two times in this month, when I really didn't have time for sleep. So I did finish the project until the sun is up, then went directly to the next class on the same morning. It was crazy.

But hey, it's all over now, people! xD

Thank God, I Live In Lübeck!

This one is more of realization than an actual "receiving something".

When someone asks me the question why I choose Lübeck over Berlin (which is clearly more huge and interesting than Lübeck), I always have the same answer: I like smaller city.

What they don't know is, sometimes I'm considering to move to another city with bigger chances for taking part-time job along side my studies. That desire became more stronger in times, when I feel too lonely and bored. But in the end, I will always choose Lübeck.

Lübeck is a small city. Don't imagine it so small like villages in Indonesia because it's not. For me, Lübeck has enough of everything but for some people it doesn't, especially those who have lived in bigger cities like Berlin, München, etc.

Thank God, For My Mom!

She's talkative.
She's always curious about every little things to the point where it annoys you.
She doesn't understand emoticons and always asks what it means, when you put some emoticons at the end of a sentence.
She bothers you sometime.
She gets worried, when you didn't answer her chat in more than 10 minutes.
She keeps telling you "everything will be OK", when nobody does, even yourself.
She is the only one who keep asking because she really cares about you.
She's my source of positiveness.

Thank God, For My Dad!

The thoughts just came to me like a few days ago and I can't stop thinking about my dad.

On a usual morning, I received a message from my sister in Halle. She wrote: "I dreamt about Dad!"

I could tell from what's written, that she's so happy. Coincidentally, I also dreamt about my Dad a few days earlier. So, I wrote her back: "Me too, couple days ago. He told me to go home." Then she replied me with an ":)" emoticon.

You may wonder, why a dream, with my Dad in it, could cause such a commotion for us.

Because the only time and place we are able to meet and talk with our Dad is in our dreams.

Thank God, The Internet Connection Runs Again!

So, it just happened last night.

I always stay late at night, until dawn to be exact, on Thursdays and Fridays, because those are days, when I have to do as much assignments as I can.

I was drawing the construction details for a wood balkon, with my laptop on my side and korean dramas was played. I always do that. I need something to accompany me, beside coffee and snacks. But, last night, just a little bit after midnight, my internet connection was gone!

For a single student living alone, who was working on her assignments at midnight, losing internet connection is so dramatically scary. Internet is the prime necessity. It's my only source of entertaiment. It's my only acommpany on this dark, cold, and lonely night.

I could feel the terror: What if the dorm caretaker cut off my connection because finally he found out, that I used the privilege mostly for entertaiment purposes?

It is written on the paper I got on the first day I move in Lübeck: The internet connection must be used for educational purpose only, misused may lead to disconnection to the internet. Mann...

No! IT MUST NOT HAPPEN!
